Meal Options

  • Make your own salad: chick peas, tomatoes, roasted red peppers, egg whites, broccoli, artichoke hearts.
  • 3 scrambled eggs with smoked salmon and onions, berries or grapefruit, sliced tomatoes.
  • Greek salad
  • 1 egg, scoop cottage cheese, grapefruit or berries.
  • Cheese omelet, Israeli salad.
  • Large Mediterranean salad, add side tuna
  • 2 poached eggs, side plain yogurt, berries or grapefruit.
  • Chopped salad, add scoop cottage cheese, 1 hard-boiled egg.
  • ½ flat bagel, 2 tbsp. cream cheese, side order lox, small Israeli salad.

Tips & Tricks

  • Salad dressing to be ordered on the side. Use 1-2 tbsp. salad dressing and 2 tbsp. any vinegar to salad. Request a light dressing that is lower in fat. Avoid dressings that are high in sugar such as honey or maple syrup. Balsamic vinaigrette is a good option.
  • Egg dishes to be ordered as egg white only.
  • Tuna packed in water, no mayonnaise
  • Those not following the low glycemic meals can replace fruit with ½ flat bagel.
